Documents Reveal Depths Of DEA Prostitution Scandal In Colombia

Wednesday January 1, 2014:  While prostitution scandals in Colombia are associated with the Secret Service the DEA was also getting in on the action.

request from Foreign Policy has resulted in the release of a Justice Department Office of the Inspector General report on the scandal surrounding Secret Service and DEA agents who accompanied President Obama to the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia, in April 2012. The report is full of juicy, sleazy detail on agents making dozens of calls to prostitutes on their government-issued cell phones, searching for dates with transvestite prostitutes, and seeking to redefine "sex" as not including paying hookers to masturbate them and "prostitution" as not what they had engaged in by paying hookers for sex acts. The OIG said that latter claim defied "common sense and legal definitions."
Jan 3, 2014. A Culture of Corruption in Both Homeland Security and the Department of Justice.  A new report has been released by the DEA regarding a culture of corruption within the DEA. That report indicated that special agents in the DEA have used prostitutes, used government issued cell phones to arrange meetings with prostitutes, and then took the prostitutes to government furnished apartments. Those agents apparently erased information from their government issued cell phones when they became aware of the investigation.

DRUGS AND THE DRUG WAR ARE BAD FOR WOMEN

Whether a pill popping wife of a Senator or scraping the bottom of a barrel there

is no glamour and lasting win.  Money does help but that is not the reality for most women.

For many of these women their drug addled brains convince them it is love with their captors.  For years Santa Barbara's  family and geriatric physician, Dr. Julio Diaz, 

better known as the "candy man" was in business.  Eleven known fatalities later and  the DEA stepped in.  Dr. Diaz was also known to trade pills for sex in the typical way female addicts become manipulated by anyone they
may meet or in a business association.  It is part of the lifestyle.
Tragically, the drugs take away any sense of self and well being.
There are thousands of these stories.  The few that the "candy man" brings up is a small evident part of these monstrous crimes.

 Arthur Huntington, 41, who lives in suburban Maryland, was outed by CNN as the john who stiffed a Colombian hooker — paying just $28 of his $800 tab.

Dania Suarez, a 24-year old dark-haired beauty, appeared on a call-in show carried by Colombia's W Radio and Carocol Television Friday morning, telling callers the agent was "heavily intoxicated" and everything in his luggage and his papers was left open in his room and could have been easily stolen.

Asked if she had been a spy could she have removed the papers, Suarez said, "Absolutely, absolutely."

"Clearly, in those moments, if I had wanted to, obviously, I could have done so," she said.

"The man slept all night," said the woman, who was identified by her lawyer as Dania Londono Suarez. "If I had wanted to, I could have gone through all his documents, his wallet, his suitcase."

Too much booze and a boys will be boys culture of untouchables escalated a simple dispute into a world wide scandal and exposes the underbelly of another institution, Secret Service.  How fast can this be covered up?  Kids who think they can get by with not handling their alcohol and this kind of bull can go on forever.. they have a hard lesson to learn when it does catch up with them.  After years of investing, Huntington's career is down the drain, what must his family feel?

The woman should have been paid a fair wage for any service she provided.  It would have saved Huntington and the others a lot of grief.
